Restaurant Nathan Outlaw retains top spot in Good Food Guide 2019
Nathan, Rachel, and the whole Outlaw team are absolutely delighted after learning that their eponymously named Restaurant Nathan Outlaw has been placed No 1 in the Waitrose Good Food Guide (2019) for the second year running.
It has been an amazing journey so far and we want to take this moment to say thank you to all our customers, past, present and future!
We also couldn’t be more proud of our staff – our ‘band of Outlaw’s’ and all their incredible hard work. We pride ourselves on simple and effortless hospitality, powered by people with amazing skill and heaps of passion. Quality ingredients and a whole ocean of experience, means we continue to put the very best seafood on the plate and create exceptional experiences for each of our guests.
Waitrose & Partners Good Food Guide Editor, Elizabeth Carter noted, ‘This is the perfect Good Food Guide restaurant, embodying everything we champion. Expect cooking that is consistently of the highest quality combining the freshest ingredients, from shellfish and fish from sea and estuary, to locally grown fruits and vegetables. There’s a brilliant wine list and the excellent service is devoted to diner enjoyment with no formality. It is with great delight that Restaurant Nathan Outlaw has been awarded a perfect 10 for the third year running, and retains the number one spot in our top 50’.
Nathan said “Learning that we had been placed in the top spot last year and retained a cooking score of 10/10 from the previous year was amazing, but this is just mind-blowing. My aim has always been to offer customers food cooked simply but with subtle layers of flavour and to make a visit to Restaurant Nathan Outlaw an experience to remember, for not only the food but also for the professional and welcoming hospitality our Front of House team provide.
I am grateful to each one of my fantastic team for their commitment and hard work. Restaurant Nathan Outlaw embodies everything I’d want in a restaurant as a customer, and it seems that other people like it that way too!
It is no secret that we are lucky enough to have access to what I consider to be the very best fish and seafood available in the UK, all caught in Cornish waters and I also have a network of wonderful producers and suppliers, all of them local to the Port Isaac area, without whom I wouldn’t have the raw ingredients so essential to my cooking. The strong relationships we have built over the years are an important part of this success and I must thank them for continuing to serve me well.
