Outlaw’s Fish Kitchen

The sea and fishermen dictate our menu. We never compromise on quality or sustainability

Outlaw’s Fish Kitchen is located within a 15th century fisherman’s cottage overlooking the harbour at the bottom of Port Isaac. Opened in 2013, the menu continues to offer unique dishes created from the freshest seafood landed from the surrounding waters each day.

The kitchen, lead by Head Chef Tim Barnes, prepares small, original and delicious seafood plates cooked to order. relax and enjoy Nathan’s unique approach to seafood, whilst absorbing the vibrant atmosphere of this lively fishing village.

Wherever possible we buy the best fish from local inshore day boats that are certified by the Responsible Fishing Scheme. We are proud of our local fishermen who land fresh fish and shellfish daily and work using low impact fishing methods that preserve our marine environment.

    SAMPLE DRINKS LIST

We prefer to keep a small, select drinks list which moves with the menu and the seasons. We often source limited, small allocations of wines which we feel really showcase particular regions and grapes, and like to think we can offer you something new to experience on each visit.

    PLANNING YOUR VISIT

If your reservation is prior to 1.30pm for lunch or 8pm for dinner we will require the table back 1 hour and 45 minutes later.

Due to our location in North Cornwall, taxis are often unavailable to book at late notice. We strongly advise arranging transport in advance.

    PARKING

If you are arriving by car please leave plenty of additional time before your booking to park, as Port Isaac’s free spaces do become quickly limited, especially during the holiday months.

There is no parking available at the restaurant or at the bottom of Port Isaac. We recommend parking in the “New Road” pay and display public car park at the top of the village, a 10 minute walk downhill to Outlaw’s Fish Kitchen via Back Hill and Fore Street. Alternatively Port Isaac’s ‘main’ public car park is on your right as you first enter the village. It is a 10 minute steep downhill walk via Trewetha Lane, Rose Hill, and Fore Street. You will find us at the bottom of the hill overlooking the fishing harbour.

    ACCESSIBILITY

    RESTAURANT AND FACILITIES

Our building is one of the oldest in Port Isaac with Grade II listed status, which makes it wonderful, but a little challenging when it comes to accessibility. Please contact us in advance for any accessibility requirements.

Outlaw’s Fish Kitchen is located at the bottom of Fore Street, a steep hill running down in to the village. If arriving by taxi or car, it is possible to be dropped off directly outside Outlaw’s Fish Kitchen, but please be aware there is no parking at the bottom of the village. We strongly advise booking taxis in advance.

Access can only be made through the standard size front door. We have one very small WC which is not wheelchair accessible.

    DOGS

Assistance dogs are the only canine friends that we allow access to inside Outlaw’s Fish Kitchen. If you plan on bringing an assistant dog, please notify us in advance so we can attempt to select a suitable table.

  • Cancellation Policy

    CANCELLATION POLICY

We are a small restaurant and as such, our continued viability relies heavily on reservations being honoured by our customers or adequate notice being given of any changes to plans or arrangements. Accordingly, the following applies:

Credit Card (MasterCard or VISA) details will be required to confirm your booking.

For all bookings, you must notify us of a cancellation or any changes to the number of guests at least 24 hours prior to your booking.

We reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee to the given Credit Card details for any bookings cancelled or changed within this 24 hour notice period. In these instances, the cancellation fee will be £25 per person unless we are otherwise able to fill the vacancy.

The cancellation fee reflects any cost incurred by us in terms of staff, food or beverage booked or ordered specifically for your group or party, and any lost revenue as a result of turning other bookings away.

We thank you for your understanding.
