This week, the opening of a new brasserie-style restaurant at The Goring Hotel, in Belgravia, London was announced.
The five-star luxury hotel opened in 1910 and is still privately owned by the Goring family. CEO Jeremy Goring said:
“We wanted to major on Cornish produce because of its extraordinary quality, and it just so happens that Nathan’s probably the best seafood chef in the country. Knowing Nathan he’ll do whatever it takes to ensure we produce the goods”.
The new restaurant will be designed by architect Russell Sage, who will design a brand new orangery overlooking the hotel’s gardens.
Nathan says of the new venture:
“I’m already busy designing dishes and creating menus! I’ll be concentrating on sustainable Cornish seafood. It will be a true seafood restaurant and will complement the existing restaurant – The Dining Room – at The Goring, which is amazing in its own right. I’ve known Jeremy and his family for many years, since the days of my first restaurant. The hotel has been at the top of the game for over 100 years now and I’m very excited at the prospect of being a part of it”.
The new restaurant is due to open in late Spring 2019.
